I never said that. I don't think for a moment that Ron would become a 
death eater or a Voldemort supporter like Pettigrew, but I have 
suggested that Ron due to jealousy might in a moment of weakness or a 
lapse of judgement inadvertenly betray his friends and help place 
them in a dangerous situation and thus destroy the trio.

His desire for great things such as wealth, fame and authority. His 
jealousy towards Harry

Yes. Afterall his greatest desire is to have a position of fame and 
respect and possibly to gain wealth which he hasn't seen much of due 
to his family's lack of money.

Possibly. Jealousy coupled with immaturity and negelect can do 
wonders.

betray his friends in a moment of weakness.
