Where was that? I remember that when Harry was a bit overstressed 
(and I have other theories why as well) he and Neville were the only 
two who had homework for charms - for the summoning charm.  I don't 
remember any time that Harry's performance in potions is actually 
compared to anyone elses or stated as being alone with Neville at the 
bottom of the class - there are times that he forgets something (the 
bezoar once I think) when he's not concentrating - like because he's 
got to face a dragon or swim to the bottom of the lake...
