> Sirius bites it, and we start thinking that JKR plans to kill Harry,
too. I can't bring myself to think it will end that way, so I am
building my ship of denial early. Great stories have to have great
endings. I won't believe that Harry dies in the end, because it would
be so massively disappointing that I'd lose all of the faith I'd been
building up over the series (and I'm an "adult"!). It's been a long
and rocky road for our boy Harry, and my hopes are pinned on his
ultimate victory over Voldy. In his reincarnated body, I think Lord
Thingy's also returned to a mortal-killable state. More death, terror
and uncertainty are coming, but in the end, I'm betting on a "happy"
ending! >>>

I don't believe Harry will perish in the end. Mostly because I don't
want him to, but because of the immense love his mother transferred
into him. I think that will be LV's downfall in the end. I must say
that the first time I read book 5 that the prophesy confused me. I
was devastated that Harry would have to become a killer, but also I
couldn't help thinking that both had to die in the end. I think
Harry's having to kill will be a major theme in book 6 and was hinted
at when he tried the crucio curse on Bellatrix. She said he had to
really mean it, and this I believe will be an important idea for him to
come to grips with. He will really have to want to do something
horrible to create a better life for himself and those around him.
I'm excited to see how these events unfold!
