Oh yes. Glasses. I've often wondered about those glasses. Even
more so since I've found out Rowling confirmed there is significance
to Harry "having his mother's eyes." Well, if having his mom's eyes
is important to the plot, how about wearing glasses over those eyes?
What might that mean?
Anyhow, Dumbledore has half-moon specs, McGonagall has square,
Telawney has oversized (also told repeatedly enhances her bug
likeness), Percy and Arthur wear them, Rita has an obnoxious pair
(don't know the shape off-hand, cats-eye maybe?), Umbridge wears
them, Moaning Myrtle, and I do believe a couple other students have
been mentioned to have them, though only in passing. That's all I
can think of right now. I keep picturing Neville having them. Don't
know if that's just an impression or if it's in the books.
