Hurlz, I think this is an interesting idea. I also think it
highlights one of the least understood aspects of magic: what can you
do without a wand? Rowling has talked (in interviews) about how
wands help wizard to control thier magic and that wizards are capable
of spontaneous magic without them (but they lack all control). In
regards to the hair growing, it is interesting how perfectly his
magic worked in this instance, say, compared to the snake situation
or the time he was running from Dudley & Co (and ends up on top of
the school).
If it were to be true, how do you think it might be used in the books?
