Ccauley, you're definitely on to something...

"Araminta Meliflua", also on the Black family tree, possibly 
Sirius's mother's first cousin.

Araminta is a Greek baby name for "fragrant flower."
The only reference I can find for "meliflua" is the species name for 
another type of flower, Hoya meliflua.
