Final Fate Depressing

I at m glad someone else reacts like that to it - and I also hope that I 
will have come to my senses somewhat by the seventh book and not be 
so effected by any of the character's deaths by themn - but, as we're 
strung out from book to book, I seriously doubt it.

I envy those in about ten/fifteen years time who come to the books as 
a whole and just spend a month or so reading 1 to 7 - they'll never 
get the agony of waiting years for the next installment and therefore 
spending hours wondering what will happen!  Is there a cure?
