I don't know about you, but I think that we get a little clue that all is
not well between Draco Malfoy and Dolores Umbridge.
When Hermione starts spinning her story about a "weapon" that could be used
to blast her out of Hogwarts, Draco can't quite hide his sudden interest in
this idea. She catches the gleam in his eye, and she apparently doesn't
trust him very far.
We don't _know_ how the Umbridge regime is going over in Slytherin House, do
we? It would be very interesting to find out that Dolores is riding them at
least as hard as she does Harry---and that we aren't seeing it because
Harry's not usually around when Dolores is on their cases. She does
apparently let the Slytherin Quidditch team re-form, but that could have
been via pressure from Fudge, and ultimately from Lucius (Money-Bags)
Malfoy.
Heck, for all we know, she could be a Hufflepuff Old Girl, and be stomping
on the Gryffindor team as hard as she can to avenge the defeats Hufflepuff
suffered back when _she_ was at Hogwarts---back when dinosaurs roamed the
earth and even Dumbledore was a young man.
I wonder...if Draco had been approached in private, in a deniable way, by
someone _not_ known to be directly involved with the Trio, could/would he
have been willing to sabotage Dolores? He is on the Inquistional Squad, but
I doubt he feels any loyalty to the B*tch-Toad From Hell.
