Lady Macbeth:
And if she, being the loyal Ministry worker that she is, devoted to the
cause of helping keep Dumbledore from overthrowing Fudge as she is, were to
believe as everyone else at the Ministry save Order members seems to that
Malfoy is no longer in with the Death Eaters and is a loyal backer of Fudge
as Minister, would this be a problem?
What I'm getting at is that there is something else going on here:
1. She has an agenda of her OWN that may involve kicking the Ministry in the
booty when the time comes; perhaps she's after the Minister of Magic
position herself.
2. She's in with Voldemort, or wants to be, and somehow doesn't know that
Malfoy already is.
3. She's backing Fudge, but suspects that Malfoy is not, even though she
still speaks well of him in public.
4. She's backing Fudge, things that Lucius Malfoy is as well, but doesn't
trust his son Draco for whatever reason, even though she gave him the
Inquisitor Squad position.
It's interesting - and I go with one of the first two options myself.
