They cannot be sisters. I'm pretty certian Molly is known to be pure-
blood. Also, the Weasley kids were called pure-bloods (in CoS
maybe?) and they wouldn't be if their mother wasn't pureblood as well.
There is definitely something significant about having red hair
though. Albus was auburn before he went gray. Someone suggested
Rowling uses it because the stereotype witch has red hair. I think
there's a post about it somewhere.
