Well, that's the same thing I remember; JKR was reminded by a friend
that they has seen this plant at the botanical gardens (or where ever). 

Now that you mention it, I'm not so sure anymore. Hogwarts does sound
a little more plant-like, but I thought it was Dumbledore. 

I can't say with any certainty that what I said was right. Maybe some
can find that interview. It's probably a really old one.
