ME: vision in the mirror? It wasn't a vision. The Mirror of Erised
show the viewer their deepest desire. Not vison.
And just my 2 cents here but, Ron was 11 when he looked into the
mirror or Erised. He is the youngest son or 7 children. 3 or Ron's
eldest brothers has *done* a lot of the things that Ron saw *himself*
having in the Mirror or Erised. Things that seem unatainable to an 11
year old boy of poorer parents. Ron has no idea of his potential at
11. And what he views of himself in the mirror are all the things
that Ron told Harry he was worried about. Not being as *good* as his
older brothers who had *all* done it before him. So Ron has always
felt the pressure to *do* better than his brothers, but never knew how
to do it. The Mirror of Erised shows Ron with all of his secret
desires. I'm just wondering if Ron would see the
same thing in the Mirror of Erised if he looked at it at the age of
16. I don't think so.
But that is just my take on it ... anyone else?

But there is one thing that you are missing that is very important and
i want you all to think about it. He says that he is standing alone.
Much like Percy who took ambition over family, Ron is standing in all
the glory by himself. Where is the rest of his family? What do you
think that means?

ME: Having come from a big family my self I don't think that being
alone is odd. Being alone is a big luxury. And I can't find Ron
wanting that at 11 as anything other that a wish I had as a kid. (not
all the time mind, just once or twice a year) I don't think Ron is at
all like Percy. If Percy had looked in
the mirror of Erised I think Percy would see himself as Minister of
Magic at the very least, but, more than likely he would see himself as
King of the WW. But, like I said at 11 what are our desires? To be
like our older family members? Hummmm? That is all that Ron desired,
and Harry well; he desired all that Ron had... a big family that loved
him. Desire is hard to predict. Everyone wants something, but, it is
rarely the same thing.

Just rambing thoughts.. Tj
