Ok, so which one does JKR go with?
We've got Harry as the emotional youth, without the learnt defences
and attacks (mind you, he's learnt plenty, and presumably that has
been guided) to face Lord Voldemort, who's spent years becoming 'not
(emotional) human'. And the implications of Grindelwald.
The rules don't apply to Harry (nor to any sacrificial 'year-gods').
But Harry doesn't take advantage of this, except for the visits to
Hogsmeade. And, I guess, to breaking up Dumbledore's office. And he
doesn't _yet_ see himself as the sacrifice.

She can take it either way.
I don't know which way I'd like her to take it.
I like grand opera.
But then, I lean towards the dark, green magic, too...
Cheers. AmanitaMuscaria
