Oh, goodness, I just have to make two more little comments tonight.

Of course it was Hermione's idea to exert pressure on the Dursley's, 
now you mention it. JKR's finally getting somewhere with that boy. 
And yunno, Harry was pretty "unthinkingly" protective of Hermione at 
the prophecy room, after reducto - wanted to make sure she got out 
with him, grabbing her robes and pushing her forwards and all. 
Course, JKR set up HP's aid to Ron to read like "oh, ron, you nitwit, 
let me get rid of that brain for you." But HP nearly had a cow when 
he didn't know how badly imzadi Hermione had been hurt.
Oh, it's like the music from The Piano, or a bit of Rumi's poetry!

Also, regarding the entrance to the CoS - it's 1000 years in closet 
time. (couldn't resist. okay, back to my closet)
