Just a minor point but why is it that Ron is the hero of the last
Quidditch game and not Ginny? She caught the snitch, did she not?
In previous books, everytime Harry catches the snitch *he* is the
one being carried around on everyone's shoulders. Ron gets this
honor after the final game in OoP--and there is no mention of Ginny
being carried around by her team-mates and fans. Sure, Ron made a
valuable contribution to the team with his saves (*finally*!), but
Ginny seems to be doing a surprising good job and getting very little
of the glory. It seems a bit unfair. Elle

I think they're in shock Ron played well so he's the one they lift.
Also, there's already a song about him being King, thank you to the
Slytherins, and now they can sing it and mean it. Really it's
another slap in the face to the Slyths. And of course they're used
to Ginny doing well. It is unfair, but I bet Ginny didn't mind.
Probably really happy to win and have her brother (finally!) succeed.

Hey, Ron Weasley is now my king, too, but he only got his Quidditch
sea legs at the end of the last match of his 5th year. He's really
not a strong prospect for next year's captain. Yes, he's a good
strategist, but he also needs to be a reliable player in order to be
captain as well as Keeper. To me, Harry is the only logical choice
for next year's captain.
