Reading a passage in PoA got me thinking about teachers' spouses
again. At the Christmas feast, there are only six teachers at the
table. Dumbledore, McGonagall, Flitwick, Sprout, Snape, and Trelawny
joins them later. Now, obviously Christmas is a time for family, so
naturally husband and wife would want to be together. Snape is
obviously not married because we know that he doesn't find love until
book 7 (at least according to Rowling), and I doubt Trelawny is
married because marriage would hold her down and cloud her "Inner
Eye". My guess is that Dumbledore and McGonagall are married, and
Flitwick and Sprout are married. Obviously, Flitwick and Sprout would
be a perfect match since they are both little people. I have always
thought Dumbledore and McGonagall were married. I mean, Dumbledore is
the kind, leniant type while McGonagall is the strict disciplinarian,
a perfect match. Also, McGonagall is probably the most loyal teacher
to Dumbledore despite their difference of opinions. Well, maybe I'm
wrong, but it's just a thought.
