I have always thought Dumbledore and McGonagall were married. I mean,
Dumbledore is the kind, leniant type while McGonagall is the strict
disciplinarian,a perfect match. Also, McGonagall is probably the most
loyal teacher to Dumbledore despite their difference of opinions.
Well, maybe I'm wrong, but it's just a thought.

me:
I think that's a really cute thought, but remember in SS when Hagrid
leans over and kisses McGonagall and she blushes? I think it would
have been a bit inapropriate if she was married (and sitting next
toher husband, nonetheless!). I always thought DD and McGonagall were
a widow and widower -- they have the tired air of those whose loves
are gone but not forgotten.

Kurt Douglass:
Yes, Hagrid did kiss McGonagall, but that was at the Christmas Feast
and he
was drunk. And he kissed her on the cheek, not on the lips. Remember
in
Europe a kiss on the check isn't taken in the same way as it is in
America.
me:
True -- but then why did she blush?
