...Now I do have a question, well two of them, the Pensieve, is one.
Why would Dumbledore not give Harry a Pensieve to use before going to
sleep. therefore emptying Harry's mind of all thought. Now I know it
won't be as interesting as the book is already, but it would show
Dumbledore making an effort to keep Voldemort out of Harry's head.
Now, my second question is rather silly, but I still don't agree
with what was said about it. I think that Harry should have seen the
horses at the end of his fourth year, he was fully aware and
understood that Cedric was dead. He had gone to the feast and
understood that Cedric was dead when he saw the black in honor of
Cedric. Someone who does not have an understanding that Cedric was
dead would not have been so afflicted by the feast in itself. any
thoughts?

me:
In answer to your first question: A pensive would not have helped
because the problem was not what Voldemeort was able to pull out of
Harry's thoughts -- but what he was putting into them.
In answer to your second question, I'm just assuming that Harry was
not looking in their direction (maybe looking at his feet if he felt
overwhelmed with emotion and thought he minght cry) and was in shock.
(I know that on the day of my grandmother's funeral, I was in such
shock I blacked out the entire day. You could have paraded pink
elephants in front of me and I wouldn't have noticed.) I know that's
a bit of a strech but it's all I can figure. I do have faith in JK --
she's planned this out so well I can't imagine this not having a
reason behind it.
