Me: 
I agree.  I also think he may have been *appealing* to the remaining 
*human* part of Voldemort.  The use of the name "Tom" also really 
shows that Dumbledore has no fear of Lord V--no "He Who Must Not Be 
Named" for him, nor even plain old Lord Voldemort.

Me:
No, you are not raving.  I think that you are bang on, or at least 
pretty darn close.  I also think that it is pretty clear that Harry 
and Snape's relationship is going to be transformed dramatically, 
perhaps in book 7.  My theory is that Snape will sacrifice himself 
for Harry--which will be shocking for Harry after all the time he has 
spent hating and blaming Snape for every bad thing that happens to 
him.      Elle
