This wouldn't help in an emergency situation. Harry needs to be able to
close these kinds of thoughts down at will - he can't really stop mid-battle
with Lord Thingy and say, well excuse me while just empty my brain into this
pensive so there is no longer any thought which may allow you to get
me...<grin>. It needs to be something he can just do in the heat of the
moment.
