Absolutely. I've been arguing this with my boyfriend ever since he 
finished the book. Although the introduction of Neville to prominence 
at this late a stage must be significant in some way, the entire 
message of the series would be undermined by the pure-blood and not 
the half-blood child having the power (I've got the power! Sorry, was 
having my own little I love the 80's moment there).
