I *HATE* Hagrid! (kinda long)

Thank you so much Jenny and Talia Dawn! I am so pleased to know that 
I'm not some lone wacko, though it does seem that the Hagrid haters a 
few and far between.

The thing is, I really liked him at the beginning of PS/SS. What did 
it for me was when he got drunk and started CRYING(!)in front of the 
kids! That was just gross. It isn't that I mind him drinking, 
(frankly, I think some of the other characters could use a drink, or 
three.)What bothers me is that he such an unattractive drunk.

I also wish that JKR had made him just a smallish giant, instead of a 
half-giant. I really hate to say this, but I guess this is an adult 
forum...Um, Hagrid's mother was a giant and his dad was a human. How 
did THAT happen?! The whole image has creeped me out since GoF.
