>>Hans, I've been reading your posts and am finding the way you are
interpreting the books fascinating. [] I have a few comments in response to
some of the thoughts I've heard you express. You mentioned not many people
have responded to your theory of April 21. I assure you it's not that it
isn't a brilliant theory. But don't you think the books are causing you to
define and discover more deeply who you really are?<<

Many thanks for the nice compliments. I want to emphasize, though, that I
dont think my theory is brilliant. Its just a matter of recognizing
patterns in one place that also exist in another place. If anything is
brilliant its the way JK Rowling has used the alchemical foundation to
build her castle on.

>>(the HP books) are as close to a perfect mirror into your own Self as has
been invented. Have you noticed, people are reading into these books the
things that are nearest and dearest to their own hearts? The Harry Potter
books themselves are to the reader what the mirror of Erised was to the
characters in the book. They are so powerfully popular because they stir in
the reader his or her deepest longings and desires that are wanting
expression, yet the happiest ones see only themselves reflected.<<

I think youre absolutely right. Ive had this very thought. In fact JK
Rowling herself says the books are a mirror. She has said something like:
The books are like a mirror. If a fool looks in he cant expect a genius to
look back.

>>Because each person is a unique expression of God, they are seeing very
different reflections in the books, so perhaps your theory will not resonate
with many people, because we all express God in so many different ways.<<

Yes I know and I agree. This is why I must present my theories in a very
modest and subdued way. (Ive probably failed in that respect)

>>the books are brilliant because they speak to all the levels. And though
it is nice to find someone with whom we resonate, we mustn't doubt, because
we don't find people who think like we do, our own true way of
God-expression.<<

Absolutely. Thanks for the wonderful advice.

>>By the way, one of your comments caused a reaction in me, and, well, I
will just come out with it at one point you made it sound a little like
liberation is some unpleasant pill which must be "encoded" or "disguised" in
a ripping story so that we will swallow it. That implies that it is
something that must be imposed upon us from the outside.<<

Thanks for the great feedback. Im horrified and shocked that I gave this
impression. I apologise profusely.

Liberation is so wonderful, so ecstatic, so joyous we cant imagine it.
Ignorance is probably humanitys greatest scourge and if we knew how
exciting and rapturous our destiny is, the world would be a totally
unrecognizable place. Dumbledores equivalent in The Alchemical Wedding
says, Man never knoweth how well God intendeth him.

However there is absolutely, and I mean absolutely, no question of
liberation being imposed on us from the outside. It can be achieved only by
SELF-activity. It is a question of self-liberation. I hope this is evident
from what Ive said about the seven steps as theyre made by Harry. Every
victory Harry achieves he achieves by his own effort. Yes he receives help,
and no one is expected to get through life without help, but Harry always
wins in the end by his own determined struggle. And the help he receives is
something he always deserves or has earned.

Why does the message of liberation need to be encoded? Thats so obvious
its hard to answer.

Billions of people on this planet see no future for themselves. The rulers
of human life are motivated by self-interest. Greed, hunger for power, and
egotism rule. Suffering and sorrow hang like leaden blankets upon many
millions. In my opinion humanity is standing upon the edge of the precipice.
If JK Rowling said to the world, (before shed started on HP) There is a
solution to all human problems. Go the Path of Liberation! Lose your love of
material things and long life (HP1), kill the serpent of your karma through
loyalty to the Original Spirit and free your etheric body through
forgiveness and compassion (HP2), master the most basic of all emotions,
fear, by your longing for God (HP3), surrender your will to the divine
through your determination to go the path (HP4), let the Love in your heart
free your head from the influences of evil (HP5), open the Chamber of Love
in your heart and thus let God live in your heart for ever (HP6), and pass
through the Gate of Death to become eternally free of death (HP7), do you
think anyone would listen to her? If anyone bothered to read her they'd say,
"huh?" People have been saying these liberating things for thousands of
years. Ive mentioned The Voice of the Silence, Gustav Meyrinks The
Angel of the West Window, but of course these things have been taught
throughout human history. What Im saying is that this same Path was taught
by Jesus of Nazareth, by Gautama the Buddha, by Lao Tzu, by Zarathustra, by
Moses, by the Gnostic Valentinus and the list goes on. No, wed have never
heard of her. But by writing this intensely exciting and gripping and oh so
human story she has managed to say these same things and hundreds of
millions of people listen with bated breath. Why, were only at the
beginning of Harrys triumphal march into the human heart. Harry will change
the world. Thats my theory and Im sticking to it.

>>I read them (the HP books) because I notice the fire in my heart grows
hotter when I do.<<

Exactly. The divine spark is appealed to.

>>It's not that there's something in the books which is going to liberate
me. That beauty and power is in me already, and these books hold up the
mirror to it, and I recognize it, and know that the true self which I've
been (maybe dimly) aware of all along has been right all this time! and
that's what causes the fire to burn hotter.<<

Thats a wonderful way to put it. Every one will say it differently, but
its the same message. And I just want to add: Harry personifies that true
self youre talking about. Thats why we love him so much. (Well at least I
do!)
