Well, I talked to my friend and she said she *heard* it was in Hello! 
about three weeks ago, but I couldn't find it archived on the net.  
There were several stories referencing JKR but none of them said 
anything about length between books.  I'm still hoping it's not 
true.  

I do apologize if I caused any alarm.  I'd only mentioned it as an 
afterthought on a different post about what JKR said about Snape.  I 
thought it must be old news because I'm never very up to date on the 
latest.  As I wrote above, I couldn't find confirmation in any of the 
stories Hello! has on the web.  I think my friend's friend may well 
be wrong and simply misread something.
