To say nothing of Sirius' own childhood. If the portrait of Mrs.
Black is an accurate reflection of her real personality and her
attitude toward her son, then young Sirus' homelife must've been
toxic. All of Draco's nastiness is frequently explained away by the
fact that his father is supposedly mean to him, yet we've never seen
Lucius say anything to Draco that's remotely as cruel as what Mrs.
Black screams at Sirius. Yet, again, everything that Sirus has gone
through gets dismissed with a shrug and a "Get over it," while Draco
and Snape get pity and excuses. I may sympathize with Snape and
admire his heroism, but I still don't see why he should get a free
pass while Sirius gets condemned.
