i think out of all the theories ive read here this one seems the 
most probable- i think this is one of the big secrets JK is hiding 
from us about snape- but im not sure how harry will react when he 
finds out (if this is true) he said he would never forgive snape but 
if he truly tried to dave the potters maybe he would?
i dont know really but this seems like it could definitly happen.
