Now me, ereturtle18:
In the book, the fact that the Malfoys had Dark Arts stuff
hidden under the floorboards was never brought up in Borgin & Burkes.
Lucious merely stated, "I have a few -- ah -- items at home that
might embarrass me, if the Ministry were to call." The Trio found
out about the floorboards from Dobby, if memory serves in a later
book when they were nicking food from the kitchens. In any case, Ron
commented that he would tell Mr. Weasley about it, so Harry couldn't
have heard it at Borgin & Burkes because Ron wasn't there. Sorry for
the minor quibble.
