I'm hoping it won't happen. Call me an optomistic romantic (in the
classical sense - not the loving sense) but I would like to see the
good guys win and survive. Obviously it doesn't always happen in
real life, but I'm hoping JKR's comments about Harry "what makes you
think he will survive" is just meant to mislead us.
It would also be nice to see Harry with a serious girlfriend - to
see him mature in other areas of his life. He is a 16-year old with
all of the immaturities and potentials found in that age, and
watching him grow up and mature will be a very satisfying ending.
(I did like the post several days ago that suggested the whole
series is being told as a memoir.)
