Lupin's Boggart- really the full moon?

Do we *really* know if Harry's boggart has the *exact* same effects 
as a real dementor?  Sure, it has a dark, dreary, cold 'dementor' 
aura about it, but would anything happen if it tried to kiss anyone?

I think a boggart's power lies in instilling as much fear as possible 
without actually causing harm.  Harry's fear of dementors comes from 
the feeling he gets and the memories he lives while around them, and 
this is what the boggart replicates.  Just the sight of the full moon 
is enough to scare Lupin, and so that's what the boggart turns into 
for him.  Lupin doesn't go werewolfy when he sees a picture of the 
full moon, does he?
