Melinda Wote:

Does anyone know if a thought can be staged to put into the
pensieve? It wouldn't be very kind to do to Harry, but what if
Dumbledore modified the memory of the prophesy to what he wanted LV
to know?

Either he knows that Harry isn't able to shield his mind completely,
and thus will use that knowledge to feed LV a fake prophesy, or he
knows that Harry can in fact shield himself if he wants to. If it's
the latter, he must feel confidant that Harry now has the incentive
to shield himself.

I found it a little worrisome that Dumbledore didn't tell Harry to
not tell anyone, or not to think about it, or some sort of warning.
If Voldemort finds about this prophecy, it could be catastrophic.
Right now, Voldemort fears Dumbledore to some degree. If he knew what
the prophecy said, he would know that the only person he should fear
is Harry. If I were to put myself in Voldemort's position, it may not
be at the top of my list to kill Harry. There are two reasons
 1) He fears Dumbledore more
 2) Harry is the only one capable of killing him, best to get him
while he's young.

I think that the secrecy behind the prophecy remains a secret
throughout the sixth book. Of course Ron and Hermione know, but I
think that most people won't. I think Harry will go and try to kill
Voldemort, he will fail, but Voldemort will find out the prophecy.

Book 7, knowing that Voldemort has no one to fear but Harry, if
anyone tries to kill him, they will have the spell rebounded and will
be killed themselves. So he has nothing to lose, I think he and his
giants and dementors and death eaters, invade Hogwarts for the final
battle.

Hogwarts, LONG before the sorting hat song
