Exactly, Marina! I don't think that my feelings towards any character
in the Potterverse changed as strongly after OoP as they changed
towards Dumbledore.
Me: I agree here...Although, I like Dumbledore don't get me wrong. I understand what he is doing...but I still think he has a bit of ego trip..more on that later..LOL

Snipet:
I do think that blame toward Sirius' supposed death (I am in DENIAL ,
mind you :o)) lies mainly with him.

My reply: I would have to disagree with you on that. I dont think that the blame lies on anyone really. Perhaps somewhat on him because I Think he let people in on what he thought Voldy was doing too late. I think he should have been more honest with everyone! But after a person's death..well..we can blame everyone we want..but the truth is..no matter what would happen eventually Sirius was most likely going to sacrifice himself for Harry. (Either by death, azkaban, or some other way) That's what parents do.

Snipet:
I always thought of Dumbledore as intelligent leader, who knows human
nature. I never thought that he would deem possible to lock the man
who already spent twelve years in the saidstic prison in the house he
hated so much.

I don't know why it is became suddenly so risky for Sirius to run
around in the animagus form, when in the Gof Dumbledore asked him to
notify old crowd. Yeah, I know some risks just have to be taken, but
still..
If Dumbledore wanted, he could find something useful for Sirius to do.

Me: the only little defense I can give to this..is that Voldemort had not gotten his full strength back yet. He had not regained control. But I agree there had to something he could have done besides be the Order headquarters caretaker.
Snipet:
So, now I am not sure whether I consider Dumbledore to be stupid as I
thought right after I read OoP, or merciless monster who anticipated
that Sirius won't be very rational after sitting in that house for
long time and who was ready to sacrifice him to make Harry hate
Voldemort even nore..

My reply: Wow, your good...lol. Okay, I have to agree with this. Dumbledore is and idiot. Or at least he was in this book. I just want to know why the heck did he change so quickly on Sirius? He was really good before about letting Sirius play an active role in Harry's life (he was even going to let the him stay with him in the hospital wing)...why the change? I realize that Harry did spend a great deal of time with sirius but certainly he could have helped to instrument this a bit more.
