Snape's love

Remi and Atropus posted about possible Snape's love interest that 
were killed by LV and that this is his reason for "changing sides"
There was a member of the Order who was killed by LV himself--her 
name was Dorcas Meadowes. the book makes a big deal out of the fact 
that Regalus Black "was not important enough for LV to kill 
personally"....It makes me wonder why "she" was so important?
