you know, i've seen this comment and some of its relatives a lot, and 
i can't accept it.  i don't believe there is a non-life threatening 
situation for snape.  i accept that he's a spy; i believe he is a 
spy.  as such he needs to maintain his cover 24/7/365.  especially w/ 
harry.  harry is completely without subtlety, and i believe he would 
say or do something that would betray any kindness snape might show.
