That's how I was pronouncing it too (damn high school french class)
until I did some research.  I am assuming the word is derived from 
witenagamot meaning a meeting of councelors which is pronounced 
wit'n-ah-gah-mote.  Then wizengamot would be wiz'n-gah-mote--a 
council of wizards!
