Kalmeeech:
Perhaps in the next two books, both Harry and Neville will face a
life and death situation, and only one of them will survive the
confrontation with Voldemort.

Perhaps Harry protects Neville from Voldemort and this act kills both
Voldemort and himself.

Me (Dan):
I really like this idea... the Prophecy was terribly ambiguous, and I think that this would be fantastic--bringing Harry full-circle. He dies (taking an AK from Voldemort?) and thus destroys Voldemort, though he (perhaps) goes the same was as Lily (erm... dead). The problem is, what is it that makes Harry so special? Lily sacrificed herself, but that just made Lord Vapor!Mort. Perhaps Lord Thingy was weakened after all, by The Blood, Flesh, and Bone Ritual of GoF fame, leaving some susceptibility to acts of sacrifice? Harry or Neville would still need to die to fulfill the Prophecy. It would make sense for Harry to take the bullet (plus, you have the magically flawed BFB Ritual that involved Harry and Peter, not Neville).

The thing is, we don't know who the either and other refers to, like you said. There could be any number of possibilities. Perhaps, Voldemort of Harry has to be killed by Peter. Who knows? JKR does. And she's not telling. Meanie.
