He is rendered insane by the charms that protect them. Dumbledore

spheres that glowed with a dull inner light, though it was very dusty

prophecy did Bode try to get? < <

not sure what to make of it. You may be on to something or it may be
just a mini-FLINT. I also feel that it is somehow significant that
Neville, Ginny, Luna and (especially) Harry were so mesmerized by the
arch/veil thing while Ron and Hermione were unaffected by it. Why the difference? Harry, Neville and Luna are three of the select group that
are able to see thestrals, but Ginny cannot. Perhaps you are correct
in that it has something to do with her having been possessed by Riddle.
Hopefully, it is not foreshadowing of who is going to die in the
next two books. >>>

traiderbob:
Thanks Elle. I agree with you about the thestrals, and I think that
Luna has a major role to play in this. I left Luna out of this
theory because she could only hear the voices behind the veil. She
was never entranced. I think that Luna's understanding of death
protected her from the veil, and she will teach Harry to understand
as well.
