I snipped most of your excellent post, but I agree entirely. The 
saddest thing to me about Sirius' death (aside from the obvious 
impact on Harry) was that he never got a chance to physically and 
mentally recover from what he has been through. I wish he had had at 
least some brief period of respite. I know his death didn't really 
affect alot of people, which I kind of understand, but it struck me 
as very, very sad for all the reasons you mentioned. No wonder JKR 
cried. I wish someone who was in a position to do so had looked after 
him a little bit. Great post.
