Okay, I agree with your metaphors for the QWC Portkey and the Tournament Cup 
Portkey (public transportation and private car), but I disagree with only this 
one point. 

I believe it says somewhere in GoF -- when Dumbledore speaks to Crouch Jr? -- 
that great lengths were taken to ensure that Harry reached the cup first. 
This means, as I understand, that if Cedric had taken the cup when he deserved 
it, Cedric would have ended up in the graveyard alone.
