Yes, and look what an uncomfortable fuss Ron made about those omnioculars 
when he found out the leprechaun gold he paid Harry back with disappeared.  Harry 
may well feel that when he tries to do something nice moneywise it only 
exacerbates Ron's titchiness about money.

P'raps if Ron learned to receive with grace, Harry might be less hesitant 
about giving :)  Has to be a two way street methinks :)
