Rhianyn blinks sleepily:
I've always thought that the money just sort of sickens Harry. Not only did
he inadvertantly bring about Cedric's death, but he got PAID for it. I once
took a picture of a horse racing accident. Thru some cruel twist of fate the
first picture I took with my brand new digital camera, a test shot really, to
see how it would stop action, caught a wreck on the final turn. It caught the
jockey, an acquaintance of mine in mid fall, just before he struck the ground.
He died on the spot. Some fifteen minutes later I thought to look at the
image on playback and showed it to someone else who told a newspaperman about
it. He offered me a substantial some of money for the disk and I promptly lost
my lunch. It was a literal, gut reaction.
I can only imagine how much worse it would be if, like Harry, it was pay
offered for something that I'd strived hard for, had imagined would bring me
glory, was indeed, something I'd sought.
