Voldemort was ale to tell when Frank and Harry lied.  However, Snape had
turned on Voldemort during his first rise to power, so presumably Snape
would have lied to Voldemort at that time.  Judging by the fact that Snape
is still alive, Voldemort was not able to detect those lies.

        Abby (sorry it took me long to reply, Cara.  Finals are starting on
