Now me:

I hope I don't jinx anything, but I really don't want any soap opera style
twists in the story. So far, JKR has avoided a whole lot of that. I want
James and Lilly to be dead,  I want Petunia to be just a nasty snit and I
want Voldemort to blow up in a huge magical finale.

Perhaps Voldemort held an affinity for Lily, but I hope that's addressed
only subtly, leaving it open for us to debate. In fact, I hope that it is
something he himself refused to acknowledge, if he even recognized it at
all. Someone as inherently evil as LV just can't have a soft side,
especially for another human.

I have mentioned before that I believe Dumbledore will die.  DD has( in GOF)
told Harry that DD knows more than he has told Harry.  If Dumbledore dies
quickly in the OOTP, it is possible that some secrets may die with him.
