We're probably not finished with the pensieve.

Ooouuuuu! Bloody briliant!
How can the author come up with a new and unique twist on the old plot
device of a senior mentor continuing to aid his young apprentice even
in the mentors absents or after death as in Star Wars and Lord of the
Rings?
The pensieve!
There is speculation that Dumbledore will be banished from the castle
by Fudge and a new headmaster will be put in place. If Harry can sneak
into DD's office and use the pensieve, he can still seek Dumbledore's
council. There is speculation that Dumbledore will die. Coming back as
a ghost or as a reincarnation is a bit over done, but the pensieve
would be certainly be a new and unique. Harry could carry a bit of
Dumbledore with him for the rest of his life.
Darn, I wish I had thought of it.
Thanks for the inspiration.
