OoP: Madame Rosmerta

Some addition speculation before the OoP and all our theories are either 
verified or proven wrong:

Madame Rosmerta seems to be an interesting character.  For some reason, I'm 
intrigued by her.  She seems to know an awful lot of the rumours and going ons 
at Hogwarts, because she owns the pub.  She knew of (or was friends with?) 
James and Sirius.  She probably talks to Hagrid alot, along with everyone else 
that hangs around Hogsmeade.  She is just one of those poeple that is in the 
middle of the WW and takes all of the information in but refuses to impart 
judgement or something like that...for some reason, I like her a lot with those cool 
"sprakly turquoise heals".  I hope we see her again, like within the week 
with the release of OoP.  She serves the Goblins butterbeer, and keeps an eye on 
everything...could she be a help to Fudge or Dumbledore or someone in the 
predicted war?   Lets hope we learn more about Madam Rosmerta.

Does she have a personality like "poisoned honey"?  No, nevermind, she has to 
run Hogsmeade's tavern. 

Everyone doing research out there, what does "Rosmerta" mean?
