But according to this argument, no Weasley (except Ron) can be
considered as a heroic figure right now. They are nice and
sympathetic people, and I agree, that Percy is probably the most
unsympathic (still I like him best), but none of them has done
something heroic right now. IMO, JKR used the first four books to
introduce the characters and draw parallels between Harry's
generation and the older generation (for example Percy-Crouch). And
now I suppose those characters must made their decision, and we will
see if they make the same decisions as the older generation or not. I
already stated in my first post, that I like Percy very much, because
I think he can go either way. I know about all of Percy's faults, I
don't want to repeat what you already said, but I agree with you. But
Percy was also the only Weasley brother who realized, that something
was wrong with Ginny in "Chamber of Secrets" and he was concerned for
her. Percy also showed truly concern when Ron was in the lake during
the second task. I don't know if I misunderstand your posts, but the
way I read them, you don't have a single doubt that Percy will either
become evil or an idiot like Fudge. And I don't think it is that
obvious. Well, JKR said he will make his decision in book 5, so
hopefully we will know more next week.
