I have often wondered the same thing.  In particular, where did they 
get that much money to leave to Harry?  Why hasn't he wondered where 
they got it all?  Also, what did they do for a living?  And where did 
they live, specifically (like what town, street, etc)?  And why 
hasn't Harry tried to visit there yet?  There are many other 
questions I have about them, but I'm sure they'll be answered in time.
