Great prediction -I totally agree.  Plus, it would help the plotline 
if Hermione were a prefect, because then she could really be of use 
when the trio needs to sneak around Hogwarts at night while trying 
not to get caught - Hermione will have liberties as a prefect!  

I also predict that she will ace her OWL's and become head girl 
seventh year... (then she will go on to ace her NEWT's as well)
