This comes from the usenet alt.fan.harry-potter: it's definitely a
very interesting theory, does anybody here have any insights in this?
(I looked at the group archives but didn't see this discussed)

P.S. I can't find the original post on google, just a subthread with a
few replies

================ the post in question ==============
On page 50 of Sorcerer's Stone, there is this: "Uncle Vernon, who had
gone very pale, muttered something that sounded like Mimblewimble".

The significance of this escaped us until we read the guidebook to
Harry Potter and The C0S computer game. On page 18, under "Wizard
Dueling Spells", it is noted that "mimblewimble" is a "stuttering
charm", which "causes your opponent to mess up his or her next
spell".

The next spell performed by Hagrid, was, of course, the one which was
supposed to turn Dudley into a pig, which, for some reason, only gave
him a pig's tail. I haven't seen "mimblewimble" mentioned anyplace
else.

Perhaps someone else has, but I don't think it was put in the computer
game for the heck of it. JK Rowling doesn't seem to do that sort of
thing.
