     Maybe it is Vernon that is the squib. It would certainly fit 
with JKR's propensity for giving us what we least expect. I seem to 
remember a thread recently in which their was discussion about the 
amount of hostility Petunia and Vernon seem to hold for the 
wizarding world. IMO, Petunia's hatred seems to be directed more 
toward her sister than the WW in general. The articulation of hatred 
of all things wizard seems to come more from Vernon.
