I don't think this applies here.  The trio having been
solving things and and being heroic without adults for
four years now.

I don't want to see three against the world (generally
speaking, I like that, but it doesn't seem to follow
with what we saw at the end of GOF).  I think, instead
of it just being the three, I would like to see
something different.

Instead, I would like to see the coming of age derive
from acting as adults - or nearly so.  Working with
adults like Dumbledore and Molly and Mundugus on at
least semi-equal footing - with the footing becoming
more equal as we move to books six and seven.

They already know how to shut out adults and count on
themselves; it's time for them to learn to share
information and learn from those that have come
before.
